HTM 56 Category 1 Areas: Scrub Rooms, Theatres, Major Treatment Rooms

image

Clinical areas demand the upmost in cleanliness and hygiene. Use high performance coatings and pale colours to create a light and sterile environment.

Key Considerations

•  In surgical and major treatment rooms, hygiene is of paramount

importance. The use of a proven anti bacterial coating is critical.

•  Surfaces undergo the most rigorous of cleaning regimes, so paints

need to be highly durable and washable whilst still retaining their

   aesthetic appearance.

•  Surroundings should be clean, light and airy, so simple pale colours

   are recommended.
