The outstanding quality of the Johnstone’s Woodworks and Advanced Technology ranges has once again come to the fore after the leading paint brand put in an impressive performance as part of the extensive, external redecoration of the Grange Park Golf Club in Scunthorpe.
Set in beautiful landscaped grounds, the Grange Park club house and restaurant building has been given a stylish makeover by local decorator Ian Crawshaw. Featuring timber cladding and a spacious decked area, the exterior of the building has been repainted using Johnstone’s Woodworks Quick Dry Opaque Wood Finish and, Johnstone’s Advanced Technology Acrylic Satin.
The exterior cladding of the building was in need of redecoration and the planned refurbishment provided an ideal opportunity to change the specification to a coating that would offer even greater protection from UV damage and weathering. Johnstone’s Woodworks Quick Dry Opaque Wood Finish proved to be the ideal choice to keep the cladding looking fresher for longer and as a result of the product’s speedy drying time, external work was carried out quickly and effectively. As an advanced technology, acrylic, water-based formulation, Johnstone’s Woodworks Quick Dry Opaque Wood Finish offers the benefits of a traditional solvent-based coating and is fully compliant with 2010 VOC legislation.
The newly painted, white cladding of the club house and restaurant building has been further complemented by the use of Johnstone’s Advanced Technology Acrylic Satin in dark green to make an attractive feature of both the window frames and roof soffits. As ideally suited for exterior use as it is to internal applications, the premium quality satin sheen product offers excellent opacity and a long-lasting non-yellowing finish making it an excellent cost-effective solution for exterior timber.
