Johnstone’s Trade has launched a new Quick Drying Floor Paint that is suitable for foot traffic in just six hours.
The new product is a significant advancement in water-based floor paints and matches the durability and performance of an equivalent single pack solvent-based floor paint. Its quick drying nature means that decorators can finish jobs quicker than before and gets areas swiftly back into use.
Johnstone’s has been at the forefront of developing water-based alternatives for decorators for some time now - first seen with the development of its water based range in 2006 and the industry leading Aqua Water-Based trim range in 2012. It has now extended this technology into their floor protection systems.
The Quick Dry Polyurethane Flortred combines outstanding durability with low odour properties and is able to withstand wear, scratches, oil and grease spillages, as well as benefiting from excellent hot tyre resistance.
It is well suited for interior use in light and medium traffic areas, such as domestic floors, commercial facilities and light use factories and warehouses. Its low odour nature also makes it highly suitable for use in education, healthcare and other environments where minimal odours are required.
Another major benefit is the product’s development for exterior use. It will prove effective for highlighting walkways, car park spaces, as well as small areas such as balconies.
The product also benefits from being used as part of the Johnstone’s Floor Protection System, while areas to be painted can be prepared with Johnstone’s Cleaner & Degreaser. The slip resistance rating, meanwhile, can be improved with the addition of the Johnstone’s Anti-Slip Additive. It can also be tinted to more than 16,000 colours, giving decorators the freedom to use it on almost any project.
