JOHNSTONE’S ENSURES HOUSE DOESN’T GO THROUGH THE MILL
 
The extensive refurbishment of The Mill House, a period country mill house in Wiltshire, has been successfully achieved through the use of a variety of products from Johnstone’s Trade Professional range.
 
The owner of the property’s exacting brief demanded a paint specification that not only provided a low maintenance, highly durable finish but that would also help to enhance the building’s many attractive period features. During the challenging project, which saw contractor Mouland Decorating liaising directly with the client, both the ground and first floors of the eight-bedroom period country house, including the hallway and staircase, were redecorated.
 
Mouland’s extensive scope of work included the use of Johnstone’s Covaplus Vinyl to give the interior walls and ceiling a durable finish. Part of Johnstone’s Ecological Solutions range with virtually zero VOCs, Johnstone’s Covaplus has the added benefit of lessening its impact on the environment. In addition, Johnstone’s Eggshell, which is specially formulated for interior use on wood and metal surfaces, was used to provide a smooth, washable condensation-resistant finish. The team successfully completed the contract in just five weeks, well ahead of the client’s move-in date.

I have since commissioned Mouland with an equally sized job on a Grade II Listed building on a new retail outlet.”
