To give your residents an allowance to purchase materials to decorate their own homes, the Johnstone’s Decorating Allowance Scheme enables you to do so in a format that suits you.
Not only is the scheme entirely flexible, it is also quick and easy to manage, and is completely auditable. Residents’ purchases are logged on our decorating centre systems and are clearly listed and reported on your account statements and invoices.
By working with Johnstone’s and purchasing solely from our decorating centres gives you peace of mind that residents are only buying decorating materials with their allowance. A comprehensive range of professional paint and application tools means that everything residents need is available under one roof.

Tailored to your individual needs
The Johnstone’s Decorating Allowance Scheme is designed to be flexible and can be tailored to your individual needs.
Below are our most popular formats…
 | | 1. Vouchers: Printed vouchers are available in a variety of denominations which can be personalised with your logo. Simply hand your resident the required amount of vouchers for them to redeem at their local decorating centre. |
 | | 2. Decorating Packs: Packages of products are pre-defined for different rooms within your properties, e.g. kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Residents are given details of the appropriate “Decorating Pack” which they collect from their local decorating centre. |
 | | 3. Value Letter: A simple option whereby residents are advised in writing of the amount they may spend on decorating materials. Residents take their letter to a Johnstone’s Leyland Decorating Centre to redeem the value stated in the letter. |
 | | 4. Points: Selected paints and sundries are assigned a points value. Residents are advised the total points value they can spend and then pick and choose products up to their total points value. |
Administration & Invoicing
Whichever format of scheme you choose, the administration processes are the same. Products will be charged to your credit account when residents purchase their products from their local Johnstone’s Leyland Decorating Centre. You will be invoiced monthly for all products purchased.
Technical & Colour Support
Whichever format of scheme you choose, our team of Technical Colour Consultants are available to help advise on the best products and colour for your properties.
They will suggest the most suitable range of high quality durable Johnstone’s finishes for the different room and surface types, and can also suggest the best application tools to use for the job.
Additionally, our expert team of Colour Consultants can recommend a selection of colours and colour schemes for residents to choose from and can provide painted colour samples set out in a presentation document for your review.
