Johnstone’s continues to provide professional decorating contractors with endless design possibilities after launching a new range of tinting bases for its exterior Woodworks Woodstains and Opaque Finish products.

The well established range of wood care coatings and stains offer high levels of protection to timber projects, as well as enhancing the natural features of the wood and grain to provide a stunning finish.

Utilising the full capacity of Johnstone’s unique colour tinting system, which is the most advanced in the UK, Johnstone’s Woodworks Classic Matt and Satin Woodstains will now be available in a select palette of wood tones and inspired primary and secondary colour shades. The range of Opaque Wood Finishes now boast additional vibrant tinted colours and dulcet tones, ensuring it is easier than ever before to find the perfect colour combination for any project.

The advanced technology of the Johnstone’s tinting machines mean that as well as the select palette of the most popular colours being available, it is possible to tint the Woodworks bases to thousands of colours on request.

Helping to dramatically improve product performance, quality and more importantly the customer experience, the colourants and bases offer unprecedented levels of coverage, opacity, colour retention and vibrancy. In addition to providing a greater choice of shade and tone, the tinting system also ensures a consistently high level of paint quality across all colours and finishes, making it the ideal resource for a wide variety of projects.

The state-of-the-art tinting machines, which work by mixing a chosen colour pigment with either a clear stain base or white opaque base to produce the desired tone, can be found in all Johnstone’s Leyland Decorating Centres across the UK, as well as in 85 independent stockists nationwide.
