NCS

NCS (Natural Colour System) is a logical colour order system based on man’s perception of colour. With NCS, all surface colours imaginable can be described and allocated an unambiguous colour code. Johnstone’s has worked closely with NCS for many years to bring you an extensive collection selected from the NCS range of colours.

RAL

The RAL system is a 4-digit system which created a uniform language for colour. It standardised, numbered and named the abundance of colours and the standards are easily understandable and applicable worldwide. The RAL collection contains safety and signalling colours and fulfil the requirements of the DIN regulations.

RAL Colours

BS 4800

The BS 4800 range is a collection of 100 paint colours for building purposes which are included within the British Standards framework BS 5252:1976. The framework specifies these selected colours as the source for all building colour standards and the means of co-ordinating them.

BS Colours

BS 4800 colours are widely recognised in the UK and are frequently used to fulfil safety requirements. The British Standards 1710:1984 for building services recommends specific colours for specific pipelines.
