Colour has a huge impact on the way we act and the way we feel, heavily influencing working and living environments. PPG Extra colour consultants can help bring your projects to life giving them functionality. Our specialist colour team will draw upon sector specific knowledge to advise the right colour schemes for your project.
The importance of colour
Colour plays an important role in the way people respond to their environment. The right choice of colour can help bring to life common areas in public buildings, such as schools and hospitals. Colours that reflect more light will reduce shadows, improve visibility and contribute to higher productivity.
Bespoke colour solutions
We can suggest colour schemes for all your project related activities from schools to hospitals, hotels, social housing and sports facilities. Choosing a combination of colours to create the right environment can be difficult, but PPG Extra colour consultants are here to help.
Whether you’re working from a client’s brief, site drawings or you require bespoke schemes and painted colour samples, PPG Extra can provide the ideas and answers you need.
Delivering your colour choice
A state-of-the-art tinting system and colour matching technology has made the choice of colour in today’s decorative industry endless. Thousands of colours are available, including NCS, RAL and BS4800, in a comprehensive range of products and finishes across both the Johnstone’s and Leyland product range.
Our unique colour matching service means we are able to match to any sample of paint, fabric, wallpaper and even tiles.
Samples from the original paintwork can be sent to our team of specialists, who are able to accurately match the desired colour. This paint recipe is then passed to staff at the local Decorating Centre for reproduction and use in the redecoration of the project.
Legislation and Regulations
Our Colour Consultants are fully conversant with The Building Regulations Approved Document Part M which provides guidance for public service providers who must consider access and usage of a building by people with disabilities as highlighted in the Disability Discrimination Act.
If you’re involved in creating an environment for partially sighted people, or the wellbeing of others, our consultants, with details of your requirements, are able to offer the right options.
