Johnstone’s Trade continues to set the pace for metal protection with its Quick Dry Metal Defence System being the fast and versatile option for painting steel and shielding against corrosion.
The advanced system, which includes the Quick Dry Metal Primer and Quick Dry Steel & Cladding Topcoat, forms part of the brand’s Performance Coatings range and has been specifically formulated to provide up to eight years anti-corrosive protection for metal and profile claddings.
The Quick Dry Metal Primer offers excellent corrosion protection that is enhanced with its outstanding adhesion to all surfaces. This makes it ideal for use over ferrous and non-ferrous metals - including galvanised metal - without the use of a mordant solution or T-wash, and is best overcoated with the Quick Dry Steel & Cladding Topcoat.
Like the Primer, the Topcoat’s water-based formulation means that it is safer for application by spray, meaning it can be rapidly applied over large areas. Whilst perfect for external application, its low odour properties also mean that internal areas can be quickly brought back into use.
When used as a system, it provides decorators with peace of mind that they are providing robust protection for new, weathered or pre-painted metal and plastisol cladding.
