The latest paint innovations from Johnstone’s Trade; Aqua Guard Durable Water Based Satin and Johnstone’s Trade Perfect Matt have received coveted third-party verification from BRE Global for environmental performance and now hold BRE verified EPD certifications, in compliance with the European Standard EN 15804.
BRE Global, the certification arm of building science centre the Building Research Establishment BRE, is an independent and international approvals organization whose experts certify products to ensure they meet exceptional quality, performance and protection standards.
The BRE verified EPD’s were awarded for Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Guard & Perfect Matt following in-depth Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) which calculated the environmental impact of each product over its entire lifecycle, from raw materials and manufacturing to application, use and disposal.
Johnstone’s Trade verified EN 15804 EPD allows specifiers to accurately compare materials from an environmental perspective and make sustainable paint choices; in line with the environmental requirements of BRE Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) environmental standards.
