PPG Architectural Coatings has signed an agreement to become the preferred paint supplier to one of the UK’s largest construction contractors, Kier Group.
The deal will see PPG’s flagship paint brand Johnstone’s Trade used by the Kier Group across its construction projects for the next two years.
PPG was selected after a competitive tender process, in which the company proved it can deliver high performance and sustainable products, eye-catching colour solutions and first-class service.
The network of 190 Johnstone’s Decorating Centres across the UK is the country’s largest, and Kier will also benefit from PPG’s policies of free deliveries and no minimum order requirement.
Leading property, residential, construction and services group Kier operates across a range of sectors including defence, education, health, housing, industrials, power, transport and utilities. It employs 24,000 people across a network of 88 UK offices (105 globally).
PPG’s selection as preferred paint supplier reflects Kier’s commitment to providing safe, sustainable outcomes for local communities. PPG brands, such as Johnstone’s Trade, not only provide sustainable paint solutions, but also have a long track record of improving the communities in which they work. The brand regularly supports family fun days and contractor DIY taster sessions where they provide decorating tips and advice to residents.
