Johnstone’s Trade’s products have been the driving force behind a striking new-look Mini dealership.
The Mini dealership in Slough had recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment to become what’s thought to be the world’s largest dealership. As well as the large showroom and forecourt, the building now includes a workshop, coffee bar and timeline detailing history of the iconic brand.
Rotherham based decorators, Renaissance, created a finish designed to mirror the Mini brand. Using Johnstone’s Trade products in striking black and orange representative of the Mini brand’s corporate colours, the team delivered a world-class finish both inside and outside the dealership. The whole project was completed ahead of schedule and was finished in just five weeks.
For the exterior metal cladding, Johnstone’s Metal Defence System Steel & Cladding Topcoat in black was used to provide excellent protection from corrosion, ensuring the building will continue to stand out for years to come.
Johnstone’s Covaplus Vinyl Matt, specified in both off white and orange, was applied to the dealership’s interior to showcase the superb cars on show, with a superb finish free from flashing.
Nick Jones of Renaissance said: “Our client was extremely demanding during the project therefore we knew using Johnstone’s products would be a wise choice as its products have quality that we can rely on. Johnstone’s products left an outstanding finish which received a letter of recognition from the UK operations director of Sytner Group worldwide.”
As well as receiving praise from the client for the quality of finish achieved, the Renaissance team were also shortlisted for the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year 2013 award.
