Johnstone's Trade Acid Etch Solution is a surface pre-treatment to be applied before painting power floated and smooth concrete floors. It improves adhesion ahead of the painting application, as long as the concrete surface is clean and degreased with detergent wash or steam cleaning and rinsed with fresh water first (it's not suitable for use on case hardened concrete). Providing treatment coverage of around 20 square metres per litre, it's recommended that the Acid Etch Solution is applied using a soft brush, allowing time to react before another application is made.
