The 2017 grand final of Johnstone’s Young Painter of the Year took place at the PPG stand on the 28th and 29th November.
The finalists had to prove their skill and ability in front of audiences by completing a range of technical tasks, set by Johnstone’s Trade. Competing over two days, the young decorators were required to complete a complex pattern incorporating geometric shapes and alcotraves, as well as applying our "Voice of Colour" transfers.
Lisa Murphy scooped the title of Johnstone’s Young Painter of the Year for 2017. Lisa’s skill and attention to detail secured her the top spot, while Kyle Cooper and Thomas Nowell took 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
Congratulations to the finalists for their hard work and commitment in attending the competition over the two days. We wish them the best of luck in their future painting careers.
